  • Nope, something else...

  • I know the track you mean but for the life of me I can't remember who it is

  • That Portishead ABBA cover tho... Loved it.

  • yeah amazing

  • I think I was the only one laughing when I "got it" with the strings playing it at the party, people have no sense of humour. Portishead version was great.

  • There was a big laugh that went up in Hackney Picturehouse at the strings. #hipsters

  • But did they laugh as loud at the "why don't you have a father?" quip?

  • I did.

  • Just saw 10 Cloverfield Lane. Pretty good! Ending is really wacky but it closes the arc of the story really well.

  • London Has Fallen.

At the beginning there's a high-powered security meeting before all the heads of state in the world come to London for a funeral. The high-powered British lady completely sets herself up, she starts taking the piss out of the yanks and says something like "I suppose the Americans will bring cheerleaders, the stupid wankers!" and all her high-powered mates chortle. Next minute- implanted Beefeaters and the most explodey cathedral since The Midas Touch. The CGI in these scenes is woeful, but it's all done with a sort of glee. The explosions are full of fireballs that I don't think would actually be there and how the blinking flip do you implant a Beefeater? The implanted Beefeathers are shit anyway, they just get shot in the head by 300 bloke almost immediately. Must have taken them years to get that far.

  • Ip Man is amazing.
Ip Man 2 is one of the worst films I've ever seen.

  • SPECTRE

    Loadofshit.
    "Stop getting Bond wrong!"

  • High-Rise. Enjoyed the visuals - amazing set, wardrobe and old cars - and had a good pace to it. But wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again and not in the same league as Sightseers.

    Hail, Caesar! tonight

  • High rise.
    Meh.

Doesn't quite work as a social critique, too long. Visuals OK but not astonishing. Too bad it didn't work for me was looking forward to it. It had some good moments but repetitive and shallow.

  • I really enjoyed it too. It was very different to the original in a good way

  • Hail Hail, Caesar! wonderful film, loved it

  • That bit with Hobie and Laurentz cracked me up.

Guess it's BvS tomorrow and the reviews suggest it's largely average with Affleck apparently putting in a half decent performance as older haggard Batman...

  • Why are Batman and Superman at each other???!! What a load of fucking shit

  • It's ages old tribal conflicts, intervention will probably only worsen it.

  • My thoughts exactly when I saw the poster.

  • I thought Star Wars VII was excellent, bloody loved it... True that it's pretty much identical to IV, however, I don't actually give a fuck...

  • I enjoyed 10 C. Lane, but the ending was entirely unnecessary and felt like it came from a different film. Cast were fantastic, MEW especially.

  • BvS is largely rather dull. Ben Affleck's a good Bruce Wayne but an average Batman, Eisenberg is irritating right from the off and the story doesn't really go anywhere. Wonder Woman is mint though, more of her plz...
