Ha. That was fun.
Fruit stall vendors definitely get more than their fair share of trouble from super heros / villains, bank robbers / police etc.
I wonder if their insurance is higher than everyone else?

Predestination was really good. I'd say an obvious comparison is Looper with a bit of Cloud Atlas thrown in.
-
• #11429
Cloud Atlas is arguably the worst film ever made. The. Worst.
-
• #11430
It wasn't very good, that's true. I should note, therefore, that my comparison between the two isn't one of quality, but content/ideas.
Also, leave work early today.

Watched Prometheus again last night. Suffers from unnecessary exposition edits to favour hollywoods obsession with pacing. Watch the deleted scenes - clears up some of the more egregious plot holes. still a solid, unbelievably good looking effort. Hope they make a sequel.

no argument from me - I wanted to kill and maim everything and everyone involved with that pile of shit

would love to. unfortunately the Super King is about. what's the plan? codename: Site Visit?
-
• #11434
No plan (yet). I just want to get out of here at a decent time and enjoy the weather. It doesn't help that "You've got to Fight" just popped on. I don't even really like the Beastie Boys that much, but today they are speaking the truth.
Also, films. Pretty good, I'd say.

You must have seen one with a different plot and different acting to the one that I saw.

Mad Max... wow.
Go and see it on the biggest screen possible.
-
• #11438
^ really? Trailer looks a bit gash
-
• #11439
The story isn't going to win any awards but it's an incredible spectacle. There's almost too much going on. Action is fantastic, music is superb and it's just relentless.

99% on Totten Romatoes that is some going - intrigued now

The missus hated it & I loved it. This is usually a sign of a very good film.

Outdoor cinema @ Somerset house general release tickets go on sale today, 'tis awfully romantic. Unless you take your better half to see The Warriors, hehehe
-
• #11444
I'm going to see True Romance, then leave before the The Warriors starts. 4 hours on that hard ground is too much.
-
• #11445
I've never gone. Is it really worth it?
-
• #11446
can you take booze inside?

oops!
it was top lels watching downtown JHB getting trashed. what is this undying, burning hatred that film directors have for fruit stall vendors?
