  • What did you say about my mum?

  • She's sexy, and that I would

  • Good point.

  • Finally watched Blue Velvet, v.good, plus I love Laura Dern, she's like a sexy mum

    8/10

    Depends how old you are...

    Hopper is wicked ...

    ...evil

    ... so good

  • Saw that on a first date the week it came out... Lumiere, St Martin's Lane...

  • warm beer.

  • Pffff...

  • Ben & Mickey Versus The Dead... Really enjoyable...

  • After all the Aliens 3 Assembly cut talk I had to run to the shop to buy it. Strangely found it in my local Russian video store under the title of Chuzhoy 3.

Anyway, rainy day yesterday and no work = movie! It was definitely better than I remember. Still not a patch on Alien and Aliens but it fits with them OK. Did enjoy the film.

All bad guys in films should be called "Frank" in his honour

  • Watched Zero Theorem last night, totally bonkers Terry Gilliam, as per usual... I really enjoyed it but not sure it'll be everyone's cup of tea...

  • The Raid 2: martial arts violencefest that pales in comparison to the original...plot?...we don't need no steenking plot...MORE FIGHTS!!!1!11!!

  • Try out Man of Tai Chi... Directed by Keanu and only slightly spoilt by his acting IMHO... The direction is fine...

Hallway, followed by the kitchen scene. I couldn't see straight for 2 days after that.

  • Bombón: El Perro a road movie about a man and his dog...nice subtle small movie.

Brimstone & Treacle - BBC play. As recommended by black static magazine but it ended on a very sudden note IMHO...not sure what to think, though some interesting points on gullibility/guilt.

saw this in the cinema years ago, awesome film, might just give it another watch

  • No one lives - Decent slasher of the "then there was n-1) type.

On the slasher note: Dream home about a woman that goes nuts when somebody else puts a bid on flat she wants is still my fav kill rate + kill creativity wise.

So any good new sci fi movies out? Of the thinking kind? They've hard to get by these days...

  • Planet of the Dawn of the Monkies tonight - it were alright, bit silly bit standard - did they not just think to get some bananas in for when they came?! And some little hats and teapots

  • Film 4 cancelled their showing of Die Hard 2 tonight...

  • Don't worry, between them and ITV4, it seems they're contractually obliged to air it 33 times a year.

  • It's not enough.

  • Theres always 33 contractually obliged runs of Home Alone 2 and Jurassic Park 3 if you need more?

  • Just watched Boyhood.

Bloody brilliant film - funny, sad and hear warming. Crikey it's a hot minutesince I've seen summit as good as that.

  • want to see that ^

  • Lord of Tears - Not great, not so much the low budget but some plot issues and not using well worn themes well.

On the low budget horror with some psychology/mythology infused: Wake Wood. Not perfect, some predictability but a good watch.
