  • x1 layer of bar tape followed by x2 layers of hockey tape

  • il use 1x layer of hockey tape. + self fixing support bandage which is so good light cheap and so friendly grip whit gloves ..lots of NHL hockey players used too

  • Try this, its great.

How the f*ck do you get it on the shaft? It's an NS Feather...

  • euph?

  • Lube.

  • Hairspray, a cap in the shaft, a pump with an adapter to fit in the hole of the grip (i use an old presta valve) and lots of patience

  • I can't even get it over the end of my pole...
    #fnar

  • You need a cap on the shaft.

You can get it over with a bit of lube (a solvent, or spit)

    Once it's on, then either:

    1) Air compressor or Bike Pump with a valve (if you haven't got a valve, use an old presta valve)

    2) Lots of solvent or spit. Use one hand just under the top of the shaft to pull, and one hand over the top of the shaft to pull. Josh is the master of it, but with a bit of practice you can get them on in less than a minute.

  • But yeah the Jumbo grips are a bit tougher to get on.

  • Haha ha yep josh is the boss fiting grips

  • So Josh will be able to sort me out in less than a minute? Wow, I'll believe it when I see it... #boner

I'll head down to BC this week and get some compressor action going....

  • out of interest guys when do you know when to rotate your mallet head? I'm rocking one of the fixcraft heads and it's rather gnawed at this point

  • You will need to rotate the Fixcraft heads bit more often other heads as they are way thinner. Just keep an eye on the wear for the open end and rotate it before it starts to go oval. I only use mine for smoother surfaces and rotate it every month or so.

  • When the wear on the corner makes it just thinner than the thinner unworen bits. At that point it should still be strong enough to keep shape without breaking.

Some people don't turn heads... Some people turn heads wherever they go.

  • some people still seem to be having trouble fitting grips, I was fitting a new jumbo grip (on Luca's recommendation) and decided to record the process, see educational video:
    grip install - YouTube

  • Very informative.

  • Not bad, though I've never needed to boil it.

  • Adds to the flavour.

  • Ruined by the Doge reference... Otherwise, nice job...

  • i found putting it in boiling water soffens it up to put over the end, especially with the large one its thicker

  • Nsfw

  • I particularly appreciated the soundtrack.

  • Has anyone found a good, effective hack to add some length to a mallet?

  • I find buying a new shaft an extremely effective hack for this kind of problem

    #notadvertising

  • rub it a bit?
