You need a google mail address to be able to login to Gmail, Google calendar, etc.
It's worth having. Hotmail = yuk.

How do I get permission to add stuff to the calendar? Full permission to edit other stuff would be good too (because you sods aren't adding links to all of the items... so sometimes there's just a title and no info).

do you have a google mail account? if not get one and then you have to be invitted to use and edit the calender my someone already using it.

I do... it's on my profile page thing.

And I think only the calendar creator can grant full control. Others can only delegate like permissions or lesser permissions.

Ok, So I'm editing some of the entries to add URL's to the descriptions, remove place names from the titles (as there is a where field), ensuring that the map link actually gives you a map that leads to the right location, etc.
