I keep reading hope into everything. But I'm learning very fast that a lot of this hope is mis-placed and just hurts more. I've been told it's over, because she isn't coming back and I can't get there. But I've offered to get another attorney and try again to get there, but the risk is ruining my career totally, so I need to know she wants this too. I'm not convinced she does, she'll tell me in her own time. But that route is the only hope there is, and it's a pretty fucking slim hope at that.

I'm not yet resigned to it. But I haven't seen her in 8 weeks, and this last 2 weeks have almost destroyed us both.

It's hard to see any hope at all.

I'll tell you all about it over a drink next week.
