  • Nice one, Skully... So RPM wasn't born wearing a pair of Sidis after all? ;]

Think that place on BGR is long gone...

Yeah, I nearly drew attention to that fact, then thought better of baiting the forum's best grumpy old git.

    oops

re: hippest trainer shop in town: You sure?! I am surprised.

  • skully can't, but someone should totally buy my vintage black and white size 42 braided leather cycling shoes with proper cleats designed for clips and straps.
they even say vigorelli- designed as track shoes and so styling that your mum would hate them.
    unless shes's

    HIPSTER MUM!!!!!
    da da da da dernderladaaaaaaa!

    how much then?

never worn sidis, they don't work with spd-r which means they are for the hipsters.

now the popularity of learner pedals has reached critical mass, there are loads of trainers which work well with them.

PS: I still have a pair of learner pedals, I keep them in case I need to ride somewhere very close and can't be bothered changing shoes.

    £40.
worn 2ce. ever. bought NOS from the netherlands.
(I found out me + clips and straps=fail)
(ps they're UK equivalent size 9- men, just about fit my slightly larger left foot.)

  • has anyone got any experience with the Adidas samba's they made for cycling or suming? they look shit...

    i prefer high tops...

  • Apologuise for bumping this ancient thread but Im looking around for some less casual shoes for riding in with clips and straps. From what Ive seen almost all road shoes are made for cleats. Riding with vans and full lycra does look a bit wrong. I spotted this yesterday: http://www.the5thfloor.co.uk/2012/09/11/podium-shoes/

    Looks interesting?

I also saw the vittoria 76 cycling shoes which look quite 'vintage'. http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com.au/2009/04/bsnyc-product-review-vittoria-1976.html
Basically what Im after is some decent looking road shoes with a rubber base. The only other option from what I can find is an MTB shoe with chunky grips which is abit overkill and probably too grippy if I need to take my foot out of the straps.

Does anyway know anything which might fit the bill?
