NOS, Columbus SLX, Italian made, for some Benelux importer, according to Tour de Ville.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170375291480&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
(Not sure if the above link still works.)

Still haven't received the handlebars I won on the 17th, nor have I heard anything regarding the frame and saddle I won, and have paid for.
Up till this point the said shop has not impressed me.
-
• #108
have you tried ringing them?
-
• #109
I don't know if it would do much good, Jos is out of the country
-
• #110
does his phone not "do" abroad then?
or are you actually saying he's embezzled the whole of TDV and has gone, knob in hand, to Bermuda to live it up with 6 wives and a constant supply of rum?

The thing, at least in my eyes, is as follows: you offer your services online, you respond via the same medium. If the said scenario poses problems, quit selling stuff online. I fail to understand how this concept should feel alien to you.
And I am not, at least yet, worried he has run off with the "crazy wealth" I have wired him. All I am saying is that these have been the most untrustworthy transactions I've dealt with using eBay or any "online shop".
It's a good thing you are willing to vouch for him, but I think as an entrepreneuer his business should speak for itself.

trust me, I am NOT vouching for that shop, I only feel the need to vouch for one shop, and it's mine :-)
Jos is an old friend, it looks like he's being a bit off in this one, you have every right to be grumpy, I was just saying that he is in Holland, not that his behavior is excusable.

Correct.
"Rider" is/was a brand of Belgian wholesaler Simons in Bekkevoort.
Thay also carried "Diamant" and nowadays "Gianni Motta".
Not sure if this is the only/actual/real website, but it's possible. -

What, if you allowed to advertise on these boards, would that shop be?

I haven't sprinkled ashes on my head yet, but when I saw he had a new frame on sale, but hadn't had the time to answer me, I felt, well, angry.

I work at Brixton Cycles, which is a worker's co-op.
No Italian vintage bling, but we do our best. -

Not sure if BC do 'ordering' and 'sending'... Don't know if i missed something, but why dont you head on down to TDV?
-
• #119
We do send within the UK, but admitidly we aren't that good at it. But then again, we don't bill ourselves as an internet shop.
I'm not sure going to TdV will be helpful, to be honest.

Catching a flight from Helsinki just to check on my order feels a bit overkill. If I had the money and time, sure, but at the moment it really is not an option.
EDIT: Ah, if only I could read (regarding Brixton Cycles).

On the upside, when Jos returns, he'll undoubtedly have a load of new stock. That'll be a good time to head down to TdV. :)

skunkworks you are right, service should always impress. But I would say that calling his mobile wouldn't hurt. Just so you can connect to a voice, and believe that he exists.
He's a bit silly for not getting in contact though.
Perhaps there's actually a problem with shipping? You may not be aware but there have been some strikes in British postal services recently, and a Bank Holiday. How long, exactly, have you been waiting? Also, if he's keen to shift some things he's recently bought, he may have listed some stuff whilst in Holland for a new auction, yet not be able to send your stuff as it's in London.
Normal service will be resumed shortly.

Shouldn't Keith be around?
-
• #124
As Ms. Attack pointed out Jos is in Holland for a few days. Waiting since the 17th does seem a long time. If you are seriously concerned, I would say it is worth calling even from helsinki. I should think that Jos's phone would still work?
-
• #125
If it's being shipped international, do you have a tracking number you can use to see if it has been posted?
That could explain the lack of response. Thanks for the info!
I bought a NOS frame from them to build up geared and have already paid for it. Grew anxious, it seems, for no real reason.
