Explain your username

Roland is my name.

My second name is Smith, so it is something unusual to go with that, plus both my parents are teachers, so they wanted the name of someone they hadn't taught.

(The creators of Grange Hill and TV:am probably went through the same thought process)

It's a twist on Velocity Girl by Primal Scream.

Why change it? I decided I didn't want to be indexed highly by Google under my real name as I quite like separating my professional and private lives. I have no facebook, myspace, bebo, orkut, for that reason, and londonfgss is starting to get indexed quite highly so I don't want my clients stumbling over drunken posts on here.
