  • Just found out my blue Vitus 979 has been nicked from the car park under my flats. Don't know how to post images. But its was a 58cm frame with blue mavic open pro rims on ultegra hubs, white bar tape and saddle with an old campag 8 speed group set, blue look pedals. I realise i will never see it again but if someone offers it too you don't buy it.

  • or do buy it and get the bastard arrested! and get your bike back!

  • Yeah or that!

  • Presumably this has been posted elsewhere? I have failed to find it using the fs though.

  • Has anyone seen an grey 2012 Orbea Orca w/ 50mm deep carbons, Pro integrated bar/stem? not mine, but belongs to a friend of mine, was stolen a couple weeks ago but was spotted in Camberwell recently

  • 58cm 2010 Spesh Allez sport stolen from a shared house in Camden last night. White frame, charge spoon saddle, sora spd-sl pedals, gatorskins, cateye computer and cheap lights.

Eyes open please! (yes, i know its hardly a unique bike) but insurance wont pay out due to there being no sign of forced entry.

    nice, :-)
    now a Twit-follower,

  • A friend of mine just had his Front HED3 tri spoke(Alu breaking suface) stollen about 20 minutes ago from outside jaguar shoes on kingsland. The one time he didn't have his extra lock. This wheel should be easy to identify as our mates dad (A former bsa engineer) converted the rear hub into a front. Please keep an eye out for it, if you see it please call tom on 07747102703, or mike on 07891174690. Cheers!

  • posts like this^ are dreadful, its always 'this one time'..:(
    hope he gets it back.

bit irrelevant here, sorry - which hub got converted, screw on or the freehub body one?

  • Not 100% sure, but think it was a free hub conversion. He did a bloody good job on it, but you can tell its a conversion if you know what you are looking for, so hoping that might help us get the wheel back form him.

  • will keep eyes peeled for a fellow trispoker.

  • Nicked overnight, locked up in my garden in London E8:

Bob Jackson 54cm square, 'champagne' colour, which is actually slightly green-y.

Slightly tatty and well used, with a big doink in the drive-side top tube (you can see this in the picture.

    The specs are:

Nitto pursuit bar and 90mm stem, Dura Ace crankset, Mavic Open Pro on Dura Ace 32h high-flange front hub. Crappy seatpost and old Flite.

They didn't get the back wheel, since they were disturbed in the act.

I'm alerting the police etc, but please keep an eye out and let me know if you see anything! Number is OH7855 7nine12zero6.

    With thanks!

  • Fuck, that is lovely. Sorry about the bad news. Whereabouts was this? I'll keep an eye out if I'm nearby.

  • Sorry, it was in London E8. I'll modify original post.

  • we really need to lobby for stronger punishments for bike thieves.

  • that Bob Jackson looks sweet, what a cunt! hope you get it back & his penis gets gangrene.

  • ^sexist. could have been a woman.

  • in whatever was the most recent newspaper thing that someone linked to, it mentioned bike thieves being "he"s and that the 200-ish that had been got by that particular police unit, 100% male.

  • ^sexist. could have been a woman.
what a bitch, hope her fanny falls off into that canal

  • My girlfriend's bike was stolen from the communal area of our friend's house this morning. Lower Clapton/Hackney Downs area.
Her bike is a Trek Soho, the model with carbon belt drive. I think the size was 51cm.
Did I hear from somewhere that there's a place in Clapton where lots of stolen bikes are being sold?
This picture is from google but it's basically this model:

I haven't heard anything about that. Keep us updated if you hear more.

  • Apart from Brick Lane, where else is it usual to find stolen bikes being sold (in relation to the theft posted above!).

  • Broadway Market is always worth trying.

  • Someone also mentioned Chatsworth Road. I'm guessing people are referring to the markets that are open on the weekend, is that right?
