That's awful, cernan, good luck with finding them!
I hope Leeds Police have heard of the methods used by the Cycle Task Force and that they will use them.

Hi, my and my husband's bikes were stolen from our back yard on saturday night, I have reported it to the police and they said to check on Ebay to see if they turned up. I wondered if anybody had any advice where else to look?
We live in south acton (west london) and it is the second time it has happened :(
The first time they left my cheap bike behind so we are guessing they have taken them on their re-sale value.
The bikes are:
Ladies White Specialized Vita Sport, with pannier rack and frayed rubber handel bars (due to an accident a few moths ago)
Men's Felt QX75 matt grey.
Any advice appreciated!

Thanks Oliver,
fingers crossed but nothing yet.
leeds police were interested at first but my details seem to have been passed onto a PC who keeps getting in touch telling me to look at ebay and gumtree. Blinding insight, but at least he's staying in touch. -

Hi all,
it's a beautiful day outside and I just managed to get a prototype bike I m working on stolen from my shop! Yes, I feel a proper idiot at the moment but you have no idea how fast those kids were running!
Here is a pic of it (with the only difference of a black very worn out Brooks B17 instead of the saddle in the pic) and if anyone finds it I ll be more than happy to give a £100 voucher reward.

@Danifoffa
That's grim news. I roll past your place daily, I'll keep my eyes peeled.
As Clara says, going to be easy to spot this one. -

I'm having an idea - what if everyone that posts a stolen advert sticks to a standard 'stolen bike' template. I'm not having some weird sense of humour, simply that not everyone knows what every different brand/model looks like. E.g.
Stolen.
Date & Place.
Bike model & spec
Photo of actual bike or decent stock photo of approx, with details written on the photo (MS paint style of 'I have white wheels instead of black, 'purple oury grips' etc).I think it would just help out those keeping an eye out as well as possibly increasing the chances of sightings/ return to the rightful owner, rather than each of us having to familiriase ourselves with what exactly we're looking out for, also, not sure about anyone else but I'm a very visual person, I remember almost photographically what I have seen, I see something once, I rarely forget it or can recall 90%. But if its a list of 'this frame, this colour, this spec, this order, this place' I wouldn't remember even until tomorrow if I'm honest.
Sound like a good idea?

Looks like it. I thought he got it back though. There was a thread, but it was removed.

Got it back today, but the thieves switched the wheels. Will try to get them back too, but overall a great result. Really appreciate the help from other forum members.

This is the best place for that. I PoPo once told me that there are so many unregistered bikes recovered, there is no other way of finding the owner.
Also when they stop someone suspicious on a bike, they always check here as well.
It's free and totally worth it.
Anyone lost a Condor? Saw this on ebay, seller has sold other random bikes with bad descriptions. Reads like the classic thief listing...
