the wheel has been recovered - no solid leads as yet on the bikes. I am still hopeful.

Southwark, bermondsey and elephant are my usual stomping grounds. I have been keeping an eye out for it since it went. will keep looking.
-
• #5454
Apparently he doesnt' know much about them because he's selling them for his "cuzon".
-
• #5455
definitely stolen or a fake listing. They're not even track wheels.
-

What's stopped you from reporting it?
Granted, I doubt there's much eBay will do about suspected stolen property being sold on ebay, but reporting it is better than nothing.

I'll be forever grateful if anyone can help! The fu**er went in the garage at work and stole it. Got his ugly face on cctv...
woops, sorry for the massive picture......................

I sent a question to one blatant tea-leaf on ebay, along the lines of "where did you steal this one from?". I was kind of hoping he'd remove the listing and stop selling on ebay out of embarrasment, but nope.

Good deal on the wheel.
Did the task force lot find it or did they intervene on a dodgy sale? -

I miss my bike.
-
• #5462
^ that makes me genuinely sad.
-
• #5463
Sorry brave, don't want to put anyone else on a downer. But this sucks. I don't even have any fucking d-locks now so can't realistically ride my other bikes anywhere until I replace stuff.
I is sad lad.

I had my bike stripped outside the Scolt Head last
night - gold Nitto track drops, stem and seatpost rinsed as well as my Campagnolo pedals and toeclips. If anyone sees anything please let me know, cheers. -
• #5467
cutting a lock is one thing, but standing there dismantling a bike - WTF!
If I caught someone doing that to my bike they'd get a right boot in the bifkin

Even if you do the work yourself, plod is on your side and the thief is basically caught red-handed, the CPS still won't do anything it seems.
Clubmate's story: http://blog.elyob.com/?p=84So now what?
-
• #5469
I wish I'd caught them doing it... gutted.
-
• #5470
how long was your bike there? was it out of sight? that really sucks man.
-
• #5471
gutted for you... always shit thing to hear... let's hope some justice is done...

Where's the Scolt Head?
I suppose if you have a 15mm spanner for nicking wheels you can have some pedals in 2 mins flat.
Any way of securing pedals? I always feel confident with my secured seat/post/wheel etc but not pedals. Suppose I could put some spare Aliums in my toolbag. Depressing times.

check brick lane on sunday morning nice and early
take details of the bike theft task force from the " what to do when your bike is stolen " thread -
• #5474
Where's the Scolt Head
It's on Englefield rd, De Beauvoir. It's a hot spot to bike theft. You can't leave your bike unattended there.
Sorry to hear your bike got stripped. Nightmare.
