  • The next bike will be so different it never reminds me of the last - and hopefully it will be easier to ride.

    Like Rods blondes?

Sorry, not wanting to make light of the situation, I just laughed my tits off at your analogy!

  • seriously - if your douche-nozzle 'mate' isn't down some romford back alley turning tricks and suckin' dicks to get the cash together for your troubles, sell his family into slavery. fairs fair.

  • Just a thought - offer & publicise a reward - I did this and recovered £4k's worth of stolen kit for a £50 reward.

  • Oh man, for me this is right up there with rider down...

I ride my Dads old fixie frame too.. does not fit me. But I feel a lil connection with the old man every time I jump on.

These cunts need d-locking and sandblasting their fucking kneecaps.

    Fingers X'ed eh..?

LMFAO. I'd turn tricks if I had to. I'm a dirty little slut though.

  • Brussell why dont u call the guy as a buyer? and take cops with you or sumthing?

  • Amey - I have had tried this all last week as well as 6 friends with different mobile no. and an email request to meet. We have tried to be really interested - NOTHING - no reply - the bastard does not answer.. STRANGE. I have a theory.... Gum tree is a way that gangs and stealing nutters can communicate with each other with impunity to move/exchange stuff around london - especially nicked bikes 'to order'. Anyway Police 'off the record' said try to meet the seller and once the is bike identified call 999 - as they wouldn't help prior to that point- they just too busy with people going 32mph in a 30mph zone or solving global terrorism.

  • bet the owner was behind a tree having a piss.

  • Saw that same geezer with the ponytale on the Red klein. this time just outside liverpool street station. i followed him up the road a wee bit as he was walking, noticed the rear brake is disengaged. he locked it up outside the tescos with a big ol' chain and padlock. like he was walking away from dirty dicks on that side of the road. he went inside to buy some stuff i guess, so i strolled up to his bike, with the intention of robbing his wheels and locking the frame with my lock when the tescos security guard started shouting at me and all sorts. reckoned i was robbing the guys bike. oh the irony. took some piccies on my phone, will attempt to upload somehow if they help at all.

  • I've spoken to all the bike shops I can think of Brixton Cycles, BLB, Mosquito etc and said there is a massive reward and my 'mate' says he's putting up flyers around Brick Lane with a reward on, but I imagine the blokes that nicked it can't fucking read.

  • That is a sweet bike. Good luck retrieving it.

shit man sorry to hear that.
I have emailed him asking if he would take £370 for it, no reply so far.
If i do get a reply I will let you know.
I think if u leave ur contact details here that would be good, if some one spots it.

That would be amazing if you have pics, just to check it's mine. It's a mix of orange and yellow paint job...I've been walking home around 9pm along Kingsland as that was around the time I saw him last but no luck yet. I'll get him eventually. Thanks for trying to lock it up, though! Frame no. is CH0009076 on bottom bracket or drive side dropout if not sure if it's my one.

Btw, we already got one of the bikes back from the theft via this forum - found in sussex by a guy from Gocycle!

  • Shameless bump.

  • I also know he can't afford it.

    Too fucking bad!

  • Makes one want to lock a bike up and watch it from a nearby window, with a sniper's rifle, sorry, I meant camera.

  • No, you were (in terms of wanting to, not doing) right the first time. I'd probably use something more in the DMR line than a true sniper rifle, though, in view of the short range.

  • New exploding locks need to be invented soon, for the price of a bike you'll destroy a thieve.

  • How did your conversation go with your irresponsible mate when he told you?

  • How did your conversation go with your irresponsible mate when he told you?

    "Dude, where's my bike?"
    "Where's your bike, Dude"
    "Dude.....where's my bike?"
    "Where's your bike, Dude?"

I jest but it's a shit situation. Still crossing my fingers for safe return.

  • Could be legit but the description leaves a lot to be desired. Plus a 53cm frame fitting someone up to 6ft??

  • When he called at 7am I already knew before he spoke. He was in tears and after feeling a torrent of unrestrained rage and anguish boiling up inside me I thought it best to put the phone down. We are now communicating via email and text only.

I think that if I borrowed someones bike or car, I would look after it even better than if it were mine. It wouldn't leave my sight. Ever. But I guess that's just me.

  • Oh man, for me this is right up there with rider down...

    Really? I mean, really?

  • currently sheading a tear for you bro!! :-(
