IF YOU HAVE A BIKE WORTH OVER £100 DO NOT LOCK IT UP ON THE STREET IN LONDON.
Cordless angle grinders are rife in car boots across the capital.
Sorry to those who have lost their bikes.

Mike’s Gangsta Track has been stolen from opposite Selfridges on the other si*d*e of Oxford Street.
2 Kryptonite D locks, One big one small were broken.Which kryptonites exactly? and at what time?
......How were the locks broken?
i want to know if it was a fahgettaboudit,
SKULLS, if your mate Mike doesn't mind, can we have some more info about theft?

The Asian American. Where the f*** do people think he gets 5 Brooks saddles every week, the saddle fairy?
Also, the big stall on the left with a big van in the compound, saw them sell a Binanci C2C for £300, was offered to me for £250, new, carbon forks, Tiagra. Most of their stock is auction stock. The two stalls in cygnet st are legit.
The man in brick lane itself is 100% legit and a top fella. Light skinned black man with scots accent and rasta type hat. All stock is ex auction he has a sign up saying so.
Hey Strangler,
which of the stalls in the square?...as there are a few there are 2 vans one that sells what look like police auction bikes and then another that is on the road that sell crappy new bikes, and finally in the middle of the car park is the china man...do you mean him?
in the compound to the left of cheshire street is a guy that sells 'new but shite' racers and uni packs.
though on brick lane proper is the scottish dreadlocks guy (oscar I think) that is legit, he really hates the bike thieves.
Just asking so we can try and clarify who it is.

Putting 2 and 2 together here, sounds like the same guy/gang hit the Gansta as this one...
1 Week Ago #2982 JonoMarshall
A really dodgy guy was looking to steal bikes on/off Oxford Circus yesterday. High-vis jacket for that slight cyclist look, black rucksack full of tools, ginger beard, beady eyes that had seen better days.
Had to stand by friends and my bike whilst they nipped into some shops. He was persistent and pretty irritated that I was there. Kept leaving and coming back, he pretended to be on the phone, kept coming up and looking at a phonebox before leaving again... wasn't a very good actor.
Had my bike stolen from bike rack between John Lewis & House of Fraser on 15/12/09. Left my Abus granit at home & stupidly took a chance with an inferior Abus lock all for the sake of a couple of 'secret santa' gifts.
Not a single speed or fixed gear so I shouldn't really be here, but I just lost more than 1.5-2k worth of custom made mountain bike. Don't let it happen to you.
Oversized black Cannondale Furio frame with black rims & slick road tyres, front suspension with lockout, XTR shifters & mechs, AC Nomad cranks & Juicy 7 disc brakes. Unique - let me know if you see it.
I'll be down Brick Lane tomorrow.
If he had a high vis jacket on, people would just assume he was council.
Somebody needs to case out and bag this fucker.
But just like foxes another will move in.
Don't leave em' locked up!

Correct, u lock no defence, I dont leave my bike unless im going in to a shop and then only when I can see it the whole time.
The latest trend is to follow people with carbon racers ££££££££ home and then kick their door in.

Think Brick Lane closed next week, next time I go will take my camera. Look out for a chav girl 17ish with blonde hair weraing 'Pauls Boutique' parka coat, she is the main front for the theives, Cygnet st corner. If she is standing/sitting on a bike, 100% nicked.

I know a guy who had an top shelf DH bike in Clapham.
Had it locked to the staircase in the hall behind a solid timber door.
Came back to a split door, no bike and a few rungs missing off his staircase.

#Ill try find out. He just said he left it for half an hour with 2 Kryptonites on, one big one small, (i guess thats a mini evo)
They took the locks as usual.
Seams crazy to me that they can get away with it in the middle of the day on a busy street.
Yeah it sucks. Hope it turns up. -
• #3138
Saw what I presume was this bike today on bricklane - hopefully you were out looking for it.
Nikolai, we spoke outside 14 that day then I bumped into you on Brick lane. You mentioned that pink Bridgestone; I looked around but couldn't find anything...
That place was riddled with thieving fucks...It made me feel a bit ill.

I'm asuming an angle grinder was used to break a "big kryptonite lock". -

Antifreeze, bolt croppers, angle grinders, crowbars etc.
All tools of the trade I'm sure.
Personally, never leave bikes alone.

true..... in London its the only way to know your bike won't get stolen or broken in the process of being stolen. Fucking sad how these scumbags reign supreme.

Mikes locks were a large kryponite evo and the Mini evo. If that puts anyones mind at ease a bit.

that is a master lock padlock. that could be cut with bolt cutters
padlock ≠ kryptonite fahgettaboudit

Mongering was cool in 1997.
While uploading the video, I did happen to see that it was a padlock thanks.
So, a test is required...
