It was a 56 from memory.
It was nice and did worry a bit about leaving it there, but the bike racks at Marylebone are on the platform and there's always a plethora of nice bikes there. Plus I've had no problems leaving it there before.
I'm bloody annoyed, I loved that bike.

Never leave your bike locked in or outside the station even for a couple hours.
if you leave your bike there every night, frankly that's begger's belief.

There's much nicer bikes there than mine and it's been fine there for ages. I guess it had to happen some time, being nice and shiny, but it's either leave it at the station or no riding for me and I'd rather take the risk than not ride.
Thanks for the constructive advice by the way.

saddle and seatpost nicked from work bike store in KX... anyone finds a black concor and a nitto jaguar seatpost at brick lane/gumtree/ebay let me know.... took the shine off payday when i had to go rebuy them.
where do you lot get the ball bearings from? gonna do that asap.

Farmer_Temp, that was one helluva bike to have had stolen! Was it the red version, or the black one? I love that bike. You say you had a big Abus lock on it - which one?
It annoys some people that that question is asked, but it provides really powerful feedback, that helps others in protecting their bikes. In fact, I've communicated advice on locks in another thread, and Clefty has made a whole new method of locking (via alarm) much more popular/recognised.
I'm really hoping that you were insured.

STOLEN from Holborn Circus my bright green 2009 genesis flyer. Almost still in off the peg condition, just got some padded black bar tape on it (as opposed to original white) and one pedal has had the reflector cracked off it. Slim to zero chance of this turning up but thought it couldn't hurt to mention. Thought I'd see hundreds of these bikes knockling about but not as popular as I expected and does stand out being luminous green. Will obviously be scouring gumtree/ebay. Ta

How was it locked? which lock?

tris1983, was this locked in the middle of the road, in the cycle parking area, with Dixons on one side of the road and HSBC on the other? If so, I've seen it regularly as I work nearby. I've never looked at the lock used though. I am also curious as to how it was locked, and what make and model lock was used.
That you reported it so early in the morning.........was it stolen overnight, or this morning?

fucking gutted.
had this stolen last night outside of my girlfriends house in lower clapton. (generally a nice street).
its a bare metal volume cutter, only difference from the picture is that I had black risers on it. most distinct bits is an old red S&M redneck stem and a "TOO MUCH POSSE" sticker on the fork.
ive told the police, going to check gumtree etc but if anyone sees it, please let me know. would really appreciate it. Cheers.

Man that suck mate, I do like that bike.
outside your girlfriend's house? isn't that a bit risky/
-
• #3064
it wasn't locked, I was sat next to it and drifted off for 5 mins at about 3 this morning, woke up with two guys infront of me who we followed and were out robbing. saw them taking a motorbike.
they took my keys and I think they were going to try get in the house. Luckily I didn't have the keys to my girlfriends. I know its silly I fell asleep but I had my arm through the frame, accidently did it in the summer too... so stupid. -

In an E postcode area, anything can happen, nice street or not.
keep a look out at Brick Lane this sunday thought.
-
• #3066
Why were you sitting outside the house in this cold? I can see anyone doing that in the summer, but close to winter?
Sympathy for the loss, though--awful to be robbed like that.

• #3067
