  • hmm... this might help ...

    that sounds a bit dirty

  • what, powdercoating over your bottle boss bolts????????

    More aero, reduces drag

  • red rag to a bull

  • what, powdercoating over your bottle boss bolts????????

scary message, even if I can't understand what it says. "beat on" = "hit on" ?

  • @murtle
If you need some heavyweight back up, you know who to call.
Thats right, BDW's your man. Just kidding Wayne. Count me in if you really want back up.

Forever and a day I've worshipped the Pace with its square tubing, carbon forks, and Magura brakes, only to find out you actually owned one. Its only that Pace, and the earlier Kleins that had that effect on me. I really hope you get this back.

  • I can provide back up on me motorbike if needed murts

  • i'm just gonna run in the old bill shop today, and ask about, put a poster up. then see what happens, thanks for all the back-up chaps, if needed.

  • if the rider sees the posters, won't that make them less likely to ride it round your manor again?

  • poster in the police station on their notice board. not in the street stoopid

  • no popo, we can handle this "in house" ;)

BDW, GA2G, Rik, VV, GS... we sorted

  • poster in the police station on their notice board. not in the street stoopid

Maybe the rider works in a police station. Or goes there regular. Stoopid.

  • I'm going to kill Acton on teh way to work tomorrow. Killl them all .. in their faces.

  • i hope the person isn't reading this thread

good luck murtle on getting that bike back

  • I know a fair few people on here use London Fields pool, was there last night and a girl had her bike nicked whilst having a swim. Was an armoured type cable lock and looked like it had been chopped with bolt cutters. Not sure what type of bike it was. Pool was really busy and loads of bikes locked up outside so be extra careful if you're going for a swim.

  • just a thought.....but can we not move this thread into 'private' just so thieving c*nts cant just rock up and browse to see if they've been rumbled or not?

at least they'd have to join up first....

  • my point exactly
i am sure some theives read the whats on / calendar section and wait for the bikes to come to them !

  • A friend of mine had her Boardman Comp size large nicked from Tesco's in Archway last night, little buggers rode up to her bike and apparently cropped her lock and then rode of on her bike and left a shitty old one there.

picked up said shitty bike at whcih and the little shit came back and grabbed that off her, at which point some gallant gent chased after the kid and rather mistakenly retrieved the shit bike and retuirned it to her, but couldnt keep hold of the little tea leaf.

so now shes stuck with some bike thats too small and has near pringled wheel and no new boardman bike.

She's only had it 4 days and admittedly had a pretty crap lock but if anyone sees some little shit on a massive hybrid, give them a good kicking from me, nothing very distinctive on the bike, had a saddle back, pump holder and lock holder on it, but pretty sure its a lost cause.

  • left a shitty one there
    goddam them
they must have so many nicked bikes lying around that they ride to jobs on bikes and dump them
    cheeky shits

  • Just insured 3 of my bikes today on my home insurance policy (4th one was over their value limit!). All three are now insured with £15 excess for theft from anywhere (as long as its locked to something solid) or if i'm mugged whilst riding them. £21 for a full year!!!! Definitely better value than cycleguard et al.

Out of curiosity, would you mind indicating your insurance provider please?

  • Just in case it turns up in town: a pal's Orange P7 (steel MTB) was taken from Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton today. Should be note-worthily large since said mate is 6' 5".

Privilege. You don't have to be posh either.

  • no popo, we can handle this "in house" ;)

I have a 'Heavy D and the Boyz' picture in my head, except only one of you is black and Greasy's thin and white.

    still brilliant though.

  • I'm in, Murts.
