Check brick lane obviously and train stations near by etc. it's pretty distinctive - so you got that going for you!

Had my shitty bike stolen from my flat yesterday, Stoke Newington/Dalston area. Distinctive pink 'Pig' sticker on dark blue 501 raleigh frame, flat bars, gold miche hubs, rolls saddle etc. worth nothing but now i have to walk to get around. No pics of it apart from this from before it was built.

@dwl unfortunately nothing, spoke to the police and they said our door was pretty shit and could have been easily forced.

Planet X stolen a couple weeks ago from Kings Cross just down the road from Scala. Small white Kangoo or similar seen acting suspiciously. Not holding my breath but just in case someone's seen it.

Just got back from an overnighter with my son in the woods and chained it to a sign post - for this once!

This was stolen in Brighton literally about an hour and a bit ago. Just posting in case it makes its way up to London.

Stolen today from the bike stands near where the wheel was on the bike lane opposite the gym, probably around 4.30-5pm ish.

Funnily enough the owner had it up for sale only a few days ago so all the spec and contact details plus a load of pics are here in the link below.

Seems E5 is riddled with bike thieves now, has it always been this bad or is it the normal summer upswing in bike theft?

Is there something we could do as a group to take action? Coppers sure aren't doing nought; too under resourced and flooded with the volume of these crimes.

It is my girlfriends workhorse and has a hamax childs seat bracket & a bottle cage fitted.

Common theme seems to be that E5 thefts have been from premises rather than street locations, most saying they've kept their bike in the hall.

The (vast, I think) majority of bike theft is from homes, sheds, etc. Street theft occurs, obviously, but it's far behind.

Police in E5 found a bike thief near Chatsworth Road a couple of years ago who had his entire house full of bikes, and I can't imagine they're not already on the case here. It's just that when a crime spree with a certain modus operandi starts to happen, there's always a bit of a time delay before the police can get active.

I suspect there's not that much to go on either, unless someone happens to have CCTV. Surely they wouldn't be working their way through addresses by pattern?

Another bike stolen.
If anyone sees a DMR Rhythm, in green, mostly stock with a white pivotal saddle please PM me. It was stolen form outside my house last night. It was locked to a solid metal railing in E1. I'm not holding out much hope, but you never know.
