Stolen bikes

  • Hi guys, my beloved Brompton was stolen on Saturday on a slip road between the Hayward Gallery and Royal Festival Hall. The one time I didn't fold it and bring it in thinking it was safe because there was a security kiosk and cameras on it and its gone. T_T

It has an electric blue frame and s/lime green chainstay, forks and steerer. 2 speed jobby with standard bars and schwalbe Kojak tyres. Its missing the brompton frame sticker and has several other stickers on it - a pigeon, a doughnut with a tongue sticking out, KLF stickers (as in the justified ancients of moo-moo) and black VOID stickers on the steerer. (Although doubtless these will be stripped off. But if you see it around town they're pretty distinctive.)

This bike was my trusty sidekick and workhorse, and I feel pretty bereaved by its loss. If you see anything please please let me know. Thanks!

  • ^did they get through that chunky D lock to get it?

  • Woke up this morning, hoping to go Bristol. Both my girlfriends bike and my own have been stolen from outside our front door. They were only casually locked as the building is locked for the public, and we felt safe.
Please keep an eye out for both bikes. They both pretty unique.

Black Faggin 49cm frame and Zornyc forks, built with a mixture of campy cranks and 9sp Shimano. Black FSA wheels, Kojak tyres and a pink Kashimax saddle.

My bike is a 23" Specialized Rockhopper from 1997 with On One steel forks. The frame is modified to take disc brakes and fitted with a custom stainless front rack. Bike is built with Shimano Deore group, friction shifter, Gusset Stash bars, Ringmaster narrow wide chainring, SLX cranks, syncros seatpost and Flite saddle.

I really hope we can get these back.

  • ^ that spesh looks ace, hopefully distinctive enough it (they both) can be spotted & retrieved.

  • Hi everyone, my Carrera Crossfire 2 was stolen from my back garden on Chatsworth Road, E5 last night. Wasn't locked but the garden is fenced in and doesn't directly back out on to the road. It's silver and navy, has a wing mirror attached to the right handlebar, front and rear mudguards, and a small glow in the dark LED thing on the pannier rack and right wheel frame.

I've had it since September but rode it around here for the first time on Monday so I suspect someone saw me going in the house with it. Still, garden isn't visible from the street or anything!
    It's this exact model/colour, 16 inch frame:

Frame number is AJ50520794 if you could please keep an eye out that would be wonderful, I'm going to have a look round Brick Lane Market tomorrow to see if I can spot it.

  • Some absolute cunt has nicked my saddle and seatpost.

The saddle is a "1990" edition Selle Italia Flite like this:

Attached to a cheapy Planet X seatpost for what it's worth. Would appreciate a heads up if anyone spots one kicking around.

  • My trusty Cannondale was stolen from Upper Clapton late this afternoon. Cyclocross light blue - pictured below but now without rack, with white saddle and non branded forks now

If you hear of anything please let me know

  • That's four bikes stolen in Clapton in the last 24 hours, eek.

  • Gutted. That bike I have seen you on since nearly forever. And @Hulsroy sorry to hear.

  • Sorry for all of us. Feel shit about this. Like Clapton so much.

  • Thanks! I'll do that. :)

  • 3 dodgy males in the Trafalgar Square area. On hybrids with black mountain bike helmets and black scarves covering their faces. Were talking about places they have already "checked".
Obviously could be anywhere by now.

  • Specialized Sirius 58cm sliver hybrid bike, stolen off a boat in Hackney. Might not have been locked at the time.
Has pitlocks, and glued in ball bearings.

In the unlikely event that anyone spots it, please let me know.

  • who's bike has been stolen from behind the kennington park post office on bowling green now?
fixed giant in black/chrome forks and levers

  • Friend was held at knifepoint last night on Cambridge Heath Road by a couple of kids.
He got away fine but they took his bike.
It's a plain midnight blue resprayed frame with a mix of components (photo below)
If anyone sees it around let us know please, he's off to Brick lane today but ya know
    Cheers

  • That sucks, what time of night was it?

    Will keep an eye out.

  • i'll check with him the time, though I assume reasonably late.
Apparently happened just by the bridge past regents canal? They then ran off towards viccy park

  • ^ That's audacious ... there's been a couple of these recently around canal there recently.

  • My lovely condor was pinched on Saturday evening from my hallway in Holloway. I was out of the country and my neighbor didn't shut the front door properly (can't be too mad at him as his roadbike also got taken)

It's a fairly unique bike with a few issues that I hadn't got round to sorting yet so am hoping it will turn up/be spotted when someone tries to sell it on.

Would be grateful if you could keep your eyes peeled and holler if there's any sign of it

    Here's the spec
58cm steel frame - gunmetal grey with yellow Condor decals
    Mixed campag 8 speed groupset
Campag hubs on open pro's (also gunmetal grey with yellow decals)
Saddle, seatpost, stem and bars where all condor as well

The rear derailleur hanger is slightly bent meaning the top three gears skip
The stem bolt is rounded off meaning the stem can't be removed unless drilled out.

I am checking gumtree/ebay/craigslist and will pop to brick lane next weekend, any other advice or help for trying to recover would be greatly appreciated.

Also got my phone stolen while I was away so not been a great weekend, really want to get this back

    Thanks

  • Friend's bike stolen at Farringdon Station yesterday evening, get in touch if anyone sees it:

  • Anyone had a black Carbon Planet X bike stolen recently? Suspect ad just gone up on gumtree.
Wank pedals, no foot retention, no mention of fixed gear, no mention of components just "bike is really fast".
