Hi - bought this on the forum a couple of years ago and she's been a very trusty steed ever since. Stolen outside Shoreditch High St station last night (locked to Boxpark railings). Main pic/white tires is older, small park pic with black deep rim wheels is more recent set-up. Now has white bar tape, white Charge saddle (seat post is stuck) and chunky black Wellgo pedals with velcro straps.
How was this locked?

Thanks - planning to head up that way for a look

It was locked with a medium strength cable lock, not sure of brand. Normally only use this when securing in the locked car park at work, didn't have my D-lock with me and as the spot I locked it in was bright and had a lot of footfall I took a chance. Lesson learned.

Cheers. Yes, D-locks are best for that area. As said try Brick Lane market on Sunday. Good luck.

Brooks Ti saddle stolen from outside Mother 333 on Old Street tonight at 8.10, so gutted. I Have contacted police and the club have CCTV of it happening, someone cycled up and lent their bike against mine, they then pretended to lock up but instead cycled off with my saddle. If anyone sees any suspicious ebay listings etc please pm me.

I live on that spot and almost everyday I see bikes without saddle, I suggest to take the saddle off or lock it real good if you leave it on the hoxton square area...

STOLEN: red 1980s Raleigh road bike, Shoreditch, Sunday 2 March
My boyfriend's bike was stolen from Shoreditch on Sunday. It's an old (1980s) red Raleigh ten-speed with custom bars that he chopped down himself. The bike itself isn't anything special in its own right, but it was his trusty steed for many years.
Identifying features:
- Large red men's ten-speed frame
- Custom homemade bullbars with brake cables routed through the inside of the bars
- Brake cables attached the 'wrong' way round for the UK!
- Shimano double-sided spds (one side spd, one side platform - maybe the Shimano A530 touring model)
- mudguards
- orange retroreflective tape on the back of the seat post and mudguards
Couple of photos here - note that the bent back wheel had been replaced, and that the bar tape is now blue not black:

It wasn't a high-end bike. We suspect it might have been stolen as material for a ss conversion and that it'll end up in a bike shop in Dalston... Not expecting to see it again, but posting it here can't hurt! We live in Oxford so can't do much other than keep an eye on Gumtree.
