  • recovered One bike thus far from Brick Lane and reunited with the owner followed the thief to Finsbury Park and recovered.

  • That's one down a million more to go.

  • Stolen Specialized Venge in Braintree

Belonged to a mutual friend, she's competing in the Junior Triathlon World Championships this friday.

  • Fucksake... :(

Pretty accurate representation of my thoughts right now.

Of the two likely entry routes (PC world or unite student halls) the latter I know the people in their office and their security procedures seem decent. However they've had thefts recently (laptops etc) via people casually wondering round the back of PC world, apparently deliveries involve PCW/halfrauds opening the "security gate" and leaving it open for however many hours. The same dickwads then refuse to let anyone look at their cctv (despite it all being their bloody fault for not keeping their house in order) without a flipping court order signed in triplicate and a couple of swat teams knocking down the door.

    Rant thread

  • "Kill them with fire thread >>>"

    Fixed.*

*Pending on the thieving cunts being lit on fire.

  • Thanks bugloss!

I had to buy another bike for work so I am mobile again thankfully.

Will be keeping my eyes peeled for my Pompino though! No photos though unfortunately...

    Cheers

  • I live down the road, and also frequently lock my bike there. Will keep my eyes peeled man. Good luck with the hunt

  • Think I've just seen a lovely Olmo (grey with yellow graphics down the back of the seat tube. Bullhorns and strapped pedals) being ridden away by a thief- if it was you and it wasn't a thief apologies, but the fact the guy was riding using the underside of the pedals rather than the straps mad me suspicious.

White guy, short cropped hair, browny grey jumper, jeans and trainers. Quite stocky.
Riding along Walworth road past Newington Library towards Elephant.

if it was you, try and look less suspect in future ;)

  • Sodding sod.

The (very friendly, cycling) copper who took the case went to halfords. Their CCTV neither covers the back of the store where known criminal activity has happened before, nor the front gate where errr you normally put cctv so you know who's in and who's out.

    Sods.

  • inside job...

  • My late 80's T.J.Quick, of Forest hill, racer in red was stollen last tuesday (3/9/13) at 21:00-23:00 on Calvert ave in shoreditch. Although the bike was double locked with cable and D-lock the scumbags took the frame leaving me some wheels to take home on the bus.

I take this to mean that the wheels were double locked, but the frame was not locked at all.

but the fact the guy was riding using the underside of the pedals rather than the straps made me suspicious.

That's how most of the hipsters in London pedal.

  • "That's how most of the hipsters in London pedal."

    Kill them with fire!

  • Hmmm... does seem a bit dodgy.

  • Possible Stolen Verenti* with twin Zipp 808 on Holloway road, Archway.

At about 4pm today a slightly tubby man in trainers and tracksuit rode past (opposite direction heading north) on what looked to be a carbon Verenti with twin Zipps. I found a gap in traffic and turned around but he had disappeared, possibly into Junction Road by the time I could get there. Looked pretty dodgy. If anyones looking for it it may be worth hanging around there one afternoon?
*I say verenti because I think it the logo was a V at the start and and I at the end.

Saw what looked like the same man pushing the bike in Finsbury Park Station area this afternoon. Possibly odd combination of rider and bike.

  • Has anyone had a green fixed stolen?

  • Don't really know the specific procedure and all the appropriate channels, but someone on here must. You gotta grass the cunt up... every bit of information you've got.

  • I know man, but who to? If its only 1 bike he has knicked the police wont do much. However i think he juat put up another advert...

  • It's never just one bike...The interwebz is your friend. Also, there's info somewhere on the forum I'm sure. Report it, if the police can't be arsed, at least you'll know you've done your bit.

Do pass on any info you have to them. They may not be able to act in each specific case, but they do collate the information to build up a picture.
