  • Shame.

  • Midnight's Children.

  • Nothing Like the Pun.

  • I'm confused

  • Isn't RLJing something that's mainly attractive to people riding fixed Proclus?

Then again, maybe that's a myth spread by The Police.

  • I'm confused

That'll be the voices in your head.

  • Meh, it's nice to have a bit of company.

  • I dont know why it makes me so wound up, but does it piss anyone else off when other riders use pedestrian crossings to stop you in the traffic so they can cross the road to the other side to ride on the road? I just dont stop and get proper amounts of abuse. I never cut anyone too close but generally people aint paying attention and get a bit uptight and shouty. I just think its a bit bloody cheeky. either ride on the road or ride on the pavement, in the end we are both braking the law so there isnt really a moral high ground to be had.

  • Not really, seemed fine to be honest.

  • they're still stopping traffic so they can cross the road, that's what crossings are for

    +1

    FFS.

If someone isnt comfortable pedalling across some intersection and want to make use of lights to get there safely, there is no issue.

  • Then Im just an angry person! I had a feeling I was in the wrong.

  • I mean to say that it doesn't really bother me what is crossing, as long as they've pressed the lights and actually crossed then I don't mind

  • Then Im just an angry person! I had a feeling I was in the wrong.

you're angry at them for doing something safety? in that case yes you're pretty negative!

  • Well... i think sticking to the roads is fine and good. and of course i want people to ride safely i just get tired of stopping for people to cut in front of me... so I just stopped

  • make, just forget about it and enjoy riding your bike.

  • Cant we fight some more ed?

  • Jordan, yes you're an angry person. shakes head

  • Maybe i need to go to do yoga or something ha ha ha.. or stop commuting on my bike and just ride for fun.

  • Isn't there a different route you could take if it bothers you that much?

  • Im pretty much stuck to one route, its ok in the morning its on the way home - I think it pissed me off more today cos it happerned 4 times and I was tired, I just thought does it just get to me? Obviously it does! the thing is these are not busy roads! and most of the time the only thing the light is stopping is... me!

  • Cyclists shouldn't use pedestrian crossings any more than they should ride on the pavement. Unless they actually carry the bike, in which case they become a pedestrian. A rider has no right of way across a zebra crossing and you are not obliged to stop for them. Lights of course, you 'must' stop for.

So no, I think you have every right to be annoyed.

  • Some bike routes go over pavements and crossings so you can't always assume someone riding across is in the wrong.

Sorry dude... the legalities are less important than common sense.

I rode towards old street roundabout recently with a less experienced rider. We got off and pushed the button. Will do so again if required.

  • I'm assuming that in this case because the OP is very familiar with the route, he'd know which crossings included cycle crossings.
