I got some from Halfords, marked at £7.99 - they were a bit scratched (under where the grips go) so I asked the manager if I could get a discount. He said yeah, £2 off, then told the assistant and walked off. The assistant said 'that's £2, please'. I paid and ran away. They' decent bars for £7.99, but brilliant ones for £2...

Just so you know, they're silver, not chrome... and not the nicest silver in the world, either. Although saying that, they got admiring comments from someone on the last CM

Got some chrome trans-x risers from Halfords a while back. On offer for £5. They might still have them somewhere. The logo's came off cleanly too.

Hey, i'm afraid those wheels went pretty quick...sorry!

Moving into the final stages of the armstrong build now...

want:
1) yellow 32h deep v rim non-machined (thought i might as well ask to save a trip to blb or cavendish!)
2) risers
3) seatpost. Have one from jonny which is 27.2 and doesnt fit.. well it goes in about a centimetre but no more and is almost indiscernably identical to the shitty stub of a seatpost i got the frame with... but i guess that i'm actually looking for 27.0.
4) long reach, and i mean somewhere in the 75mm range, front brake
5) decent sprocket to go on a phil wood hub

Have nothing to trade but money right now, will be stripping my old raleigh singlespeed of parts, some of which will be available for trade after the 18th nov, but frankly they're all shit so money i think is preferable.
