Penance for flatlining last year?
-
• #6053
I wonder if they are running this again this year?
-

Hippy would likely get a ban, and your mate wouldn't be allowed to ride.
It's disappointing, but unless they meet the criteria posted up on Facebook, its likely that ship has sailed.

He is on the waiting list. 2 people from my city got in .. about 100 were trying.

Most of those are in the summer this year which I'm already loaded up for.
Maybe what I need is a list of 1300k+ Perms?

Hummers Lumpy end to end is on my list at some point http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/MH99/

I do need a 1000k but will probably try to remain in the UK for that - I'm already likely to lose my job for disappearing for TABR and TCR :)
Still need a 1300k+ though, maybe one I can do over a long weekend?
-
• #6061
1200k though. Too short :)

Fingers crossed for him.

Ooh, I didn't even think about an E2E. I wonder if the Brevet 25000 can use DIYs though?
I want to try and do it in the least amount of time, because I'm already taking the piss with my holidays. So, I wouldn't be doing the lumpy one.

I saw something saying the organiser is thinking of stretching it out to 1300km so people get an extra 18 hrs to complete it - worth keeping an eye on anyway

It says in the (online) handbook
'Brevet 25000. Only a handful of randonneurs have ever achieved this. In a six-year period, a Paris-Brest-Paris OR London-Edinburgh-London, another ride over 1200km, a 1000km, a 24 hour team ride, three Super-Randonneur series, and other rides to top up to 25000km'
You have PBP? A DIY or Perm should count for 'another ride over 1200' as it is subject to the same validation process.

That's wrong, it's 1300k but good if I can do a DIY. Might finish my end to end :)

The same organisers runs these 1300s...

You still would require an arrow?
-
• #6069
Yeah, but that requires other people so I'd sort that out when I've done the other stuff first.

It is always Easter and ends at a pub.
-
• #6071
My Easter is booked. Well, reserved to be booked.
Thinking about the Mille Cymru or the Crackpot for the 1000k and the End2End or Lowestoft to Ardnamurchan for the 1300k+

Mille du Sud in Provence in September.
It's only 1000km but it's in the Alps. Always wanted to do it and this might be the year. Also there's a 1300 or similar (might be 1600) in March, doing a lap of Denmark from Hamburg.

Any idea if I can can use a Brevet Populaire for it or does it need to be the Brevet Randonneur?
1300 0 End to End - Brevet Populaire
1400 0 End to End - Brevet Randonneur
