Not sure tbh, just saw it while browsing older track frames. The frameset caught my eye, but you're right, modern wheels will make this look more amazing.

I had no idea Giant made a pursuit version of the Trinity.

They don't, it's got a stubby track ends and a 130mm spaced hub. Derailleur braze on is still there.
