Wasn't that keen the first time around, if anything the track version is even worse.

Should have dug up a Mavic Zap group to make totally sure that it someone wanted to take it off the wall-hanging for a ride, they wouldn't get far.

Matching nipples and valve cap, pretty much as bad as it gets.

A colleague recently pointed out that the higher end Emonda have a raised headtube, whether the budget S simply have a conical spacer.
Cannot unsee it now.

SLR6/8/9 models + bare frame come in two sets of geometry, described by Trek as H1 and H2 (SLR10 is only in the H1 short head tube version). H2 geometry has about 2cm more stack and 1cm less reach size-for-size, and comes in a wider range of sizes.

I'm pretty aware of that, just ironic given the higher end one look more sportive than the lower end version.

I have no idea what you're on about. The cheap and nasty ones with yards of head tube look like proper MAMIL-chariots next to the SLR/H1 race versions.

Mine is H2 .. but series 5 madone only comes in H2

^^ Pretty sure the Mamil horde are supposed to lose the battle of Carthage...

SL;
I'll retract my statement, the mid-range look more sportive than the low end.

That black SL emonda is from WW where there is quite a discussion about how pointless SL (or even S) is .. weighs same (or more) than madone without any aero advantage ..
SLR on the other hand is srs (climbing) bzns
