A front brake would send the rider face first over the bars and into the floor. Trust Shinscar, back brake and SS for polo is good.

There are even people who use fixed with a back brake.

ive been planning a geared bike for the last month or so, and thought of going with the single chainring and i love the look of that bike. dont know if i could live with those bars though.
