Which bit makes no sense?
Every little part of it has been carefully planned and thought through, I don't see how any part of it can seem like it doesn't make sense.
except the race number holder :-)

And the forks that cost more than the Olympics.

The red crankbolt isn't really working for me either.
I've changed that to a dark grey one.

That was a slight surprise, but I guess a £190 cost overrun was probably the best I could hope for.

Controversial perhaps, but I think this looks great:
Cloud 9 Cycles' latest build was designed by a mountain biker who likes to race through the streets of London. He wanted best of both worlds, something capable of getting up to speed fast and maintaining it, but also capable of taking in drops down kerbs and stairs.

+1. Also won't be particularly good at hopping down staircases, unless he's been castrated.

I think it looks horrible. An MTB with a rigid fork and slicks would achieve the same objectives for half the price, and be usable for other things with a change of tyres.

...which is why, before track bikes appeared on the streets, most fast cycle couriers rode a rigid MTB on slicks and raced MTB on dirt at the weekends.

I love the idea that MTB's existed before track bikes.

I think someone may have ridden a track bike on the streets before the 1970s.
