There's a reason they stopped making bikes like that. I dont know what it is exactly, but I know it's a good one. Mostly it just look messy and over engineered. Must be loads of excess material.

You're taking for granted modern alloy steels strong enough to support the very high diameter:wall thickness ratios which make "one big tube" a practical proposition.

Touring tyres on racing bikes can't be porn.

It's just about possible that some kind of scoble-porn Audax bike could belong here with Gators, but they're usually seen on tarck bikes.

I've been sold on the Durano Skid-Fixie as the only possible tyre for a non-velodrome specific track bike since I discovered that they existed.

I just don't get the point in putting tyres that handle like shit on a bike just because they stand up to skidding, especially if you have a brake.

Maxxis Detonator for me, perfect combination of nice rolling, smooth skidding, low price and puncture protection.

This is not about the right tyre for your daily driver, it's about what's porn and what isn't.

That's what YOU think it is you utter melt, everyone else just comes here to enjoy looking at the bikes.
