That's very beautiful. My friends rode in cycling clubs (milk race and stuff) in the seventies and eighties. I was never into cycling until now, but maybe my youthful exposure prejudiced me to slender steel framed racers. As a noob, I have to say that there are some truly weird bicycle trends at the moment.

I think you've misunderstood. That wasn't intended to be "cool", nor is it a "story". So that you don't make a fool of yourself again, that was a qualified opinion about bike aesthetics on a thread about bike aesthetics.

Yo, eight posts. Nice attitude.

^ loool, soon to 9. ^^ Calvin if you react like that to every comment made on this thread, you aren't going to last very long.

I was just explaining my post to that really funny guy who looks like the guy in Wayne's world. Since this is essentially a picture thread, I'm not going to respond anymore because it will clutter up the thread; seems like the respectful thing to do, bye!

A good place to start would be Nursery for New Members thread... There you might figure out what a Meme is and understand how to react to them, that way you wont end up making your self look like a fool in the first place.

newbies are always a riot.

Calvin, if you start on this forum with the certainty that it is populated by right bastards who will fall on the weak like a pack of starving hyenas, you won't go far wrong. Luckily, they are generally nice right bastards, but they will criticise your valve caps until you cry.

No! Like I really thought that that was the guy from Wanyne's World....fuck me!
It seems that "memes" (which I have never heard off before) are those hilarious stock responses deployed by those with no sense of humour of their own, and nothing to contribute, but who still passionately crave net attention. One important thing about "memes" is that they they are still rib splittingly funny even after the millionth time they are posted. Thank you net guru for educating me.

Welcome calvin, you'll do well here!
Although, you should have criticised the Somec for radial front wheel, cheap seatpost and modern pedals.

stem is still too long.
long stems give you cancer.

haha whatever Calvin. Welcome to the forum none the less! More to the point - This is for Bike Porn and not for cool stories about milk racing in the 70's. I was making a joke by adding a meme... I was making an attempt at exercising humour even if it appears I have none :)

Fair enough....stunning bike.

To be fair, calvins milk race stories are better than some of the efforts here...It's like an employee from Evans has infiltrated the thread and subtly showing us the perils of not buy a new shiney OTP number.

^^ Rear brake cable's a bit long, innit? Still, stunning bike. Shimano used to know how to make pretty cranks!
Wash your mouth out!
