posted mainly because the frame, wheels and group beautifully fuse together..but no, it isnt perfect..!

The 56 I tested technically fit (according to the Evans website I am in the correct range for it heightwise) but the seatpost was almost on the limit.
I'm tiny, yet have a decent amount of seatpost on my BMC. Which makes it look like a grown-up sized bike.
A mate had his post over the limit on his BMC, and that actually fit really well (seatpost aside). We had to do a load of carefull calcs to make sure his new granfondo would work before ordering.
I reckon its a bit of a trend with BMC.

BMC frames are far too compact for the vast majority of people that try them in our store, even some of the testers that are flexible enough to ride 8 inch saddle-bar drops can't get a comfortable position straight away.

Your point is a good one.
What's the point of an aero frame if the lump of meat sat atop it isn't flexible enough for at least some approximation of a flat back? The owner could have spent the same massive pile of cash on a custom frame that suits his/her riding style.
Shakes head
I love the armchair assessments of riders fit when we haven't seen them on the bike... The big pile of cash is theirs to spend. If they have built their dream bike then its great, encourages them to put the miles in and is a joy to ride.
Lever angle is very personal. Some pros have them very tilted up and some have flat transitions (which looks better in this thread) but if it works for the rider then its fine. It may be the traditional curve on the bars that make it look a bit odd... doesn't wiggo run elevated bars in a tt to achieve a flat back position that suits him versus some killer saddle to bar drops?

Show me a picture of a pro bike where they'd rotated some classic drop bars and moved the hoods a la mamil position.
You're also trying to compare a TT fit to a road bike fit, I assume all from the comfort of your armchair

I'm more appalled by the state of his kids climbing frame than anything on the bike.

I don't imagine he had a lot of spare cash for climbing frames after getting that thing

far from 75ยบ
that photo may give that impressionas you can see here ;)
today i'll set it with a Easton EC90 fork
It might just be me, but It needs a Ritchey WCS 4-Axis stem to give it a more balanced elegant look.
Hey, it's the porn thread.

cursory google of 3t rotundo throws up johan vansummerens bike with very high set hoods as you see on lots of pro bikes depending on their preference.

Is the thought of someone middle aged with a nice bike not riding it at elite level too much? Everyone has different flexibility and proportions so slating the fit without any real info is a waste of time. Nice bike and could be legitimate hood position. seat-post is low but could be short legs long torso.
not porn but well rotated with high hoods:

First pic was from a Paris Roubaix bike, where a higher hood position gives a more secure grip on the hoods.
And the second bike is J-pow's road bike, in which he will want to mimic his cross bikes fit as much as he can, hence the high hoods....... -

Happy to go on if you feel there is definitive answer to hood position... could it be personal preference? I like mine flat but some may not...

http://velonews.competitor.com/files/2010/07/EVANS-DESCENDS.jpgin fact most have the hoods a bit high up, i prefer it too as it creates a bit of a bull horn bar effect and it's easier to brake on the hoods..i am not a mamil btw..
the bar tilted up a bit just doesnt look good on a picture, apart from that it's just personal preference, unless you are that much of a snob that you want to be uncomfortable to look good..

Hey, it's the porn thread.
i understand what you're saying ;)
but right now i'm focus on the new forks. I've just replaced that columbus Super Muscle for a Easton EC90. I'm very happy with the look of it. -

Pros ride in big groups over long distance. You're average MAMIL, like me, ride far shorter distances, often alone. So you could say we should be in the drops more than the pros. So the gears should be more reachable.
Bullshit aside. All the flash gear we MAMILs buy to look/feel faster, is kinda wasted if its not set up in a way that looks/faster ;)

I tried rotating my bars back/up giving me the position below but found that it made the brake levers very difficult to use in the drops:
So I went back to this position, which I find the most flexible, in that I can use the controls from the hoods and the drops without any compromise:
