Ed is talking out of his arse - as per.
Frame weight is around 1000g and the fork is down as 400g.

Your was the SL4 then?
That was the approx SL3 weight.

• #75554
and in any case I'm pretty sure that the 1800g for the Condor is frame only

Too Wankery for my taste.

haha love the descriptive dislike Ed!

What confused me is that the Acciaio is the same as the Super Acciaio, not sure why.

• #75559
weight?
-
• #75560
yep, both 1800g, but then you know what manufacturer claim figure can be.
-
• #75561
On their website the stainless is 1450g for a 55cm frame, the standard steel is 1800g for the same size frame
It costs £2050 to save 350g.

weight for an xcr frame (frame only) is usually around 1600g so I very much doubt that its F&F for 1800g - which means that if you add a fork weighing about 450g, it's still going to be around 2250g, which is a 850g gain. Oof
-
• #75563
Oh and Ed, it's actually an SL2! I weighed the F&F with headset when I had it stripped down - came to 1500g (headset around 98g I think). I guess the manufacturers figures must have been for a larger size.

Booom. Hydraulic road brakes.

• #75565
pricing (and look and weight) on those ^ makes me glad I went with Hope V twin. Shimano (when they release it) wouldnt be a different story either.

when disc brakes appeared i think this could be nice........but seems it didn`t evolve in the way i want.
i want:
-light mechanical brakes
-rims more lighter, stronger, aero, without brakes track and eternal (if you don`t crash them)
-forks with some kind of light suspension (like rear moulton suspension) that restore the original fork flexioni never asked for more braking power....
-
• #75567
you'd better write to SRAM then - I'm sure they'll see their error and pull the whole thing.

Glad to see they put the saddle on right.
Cranks should be drive side forward though.
-
• #75570
i never asked for more braking power....
Until you tried disc brakes and discovered how confident you are descending a wet Surrey hills.
-
• #75571
edit my self.. i want more breaking power in wet... but with mechanical disc i can get that
-
• #75572
Oh you can get that performance easily nowadays, just as long it's not SRAM shifters.
-
• #75573
yea but still waiting for the fun part ...nice eternal rims.... maybe i dream to much
-
• #75574
i take it you are nominating the hi viz jacket as bike porn?

My little chainring thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
About 1200-1300g frame-only (fork around 450g).
Wouldn't make much difference really, unless you're a die-hard hill climber.
