It got a thomson seatpost and spacer under the stem, tell it to fuck off back to Evans.

The litespeed is so close to perfection. In my eyes it needs compact anatomic drops, a bigger frame and an inline post. A modern compact groupset wouuldn't look too shabby either.

No carbon fork tenners? I'm disappointed, I thought you youngster would stray away from those retrogrouch.

Meh, Carbon forks are nice, but not always the best looking, although, some straight 1 inch jobbies and a Ti ahead stem would make that nicer too... but then it's a fifferent bike. The more I look the less I like it... :(

You're commenting on things that completely change the fit and use of the bike though.

...That you might as well just wack a Columbus carbon fork on it to finish it off.

stem is longer than the headtube

I did realise that if you change everything I said you have a new bike... I just like Litespeeds.

So this is the answer, too bad it costs too much and uses proprietary cogs

We're just waiting for harmonisation of a splined sprocket which can accommodate 13T for track racing. For most people, ISO 6-bolt is fine, but racers wouldn't like having to use 64/16 for pursuit gearing, even though it might actually be a good idea. Shimano HG is the wrong shape for reversing loads (sorry Halo FixG), but CentreLock is sized appropriately, uses standard road bike servicing tools and AFAIK is free to use.
Surely you're better having the torque load going through the hub rather than through the 6 bolts?
-
• #74918
The load is shearing the 6 bolts, it's well within their capability to handle that. You're not transmitting torque through the threads, they are just the way you mount the shear-loaded pins. Centrelock to 6-bolt adapters don't have threads at all, since the pins are held in place by their common mounting ring which in turn is retained by the lock ring.

I think the cranks on the Konga are Alivio, which is really putting me off it.
