I've just bought some :(

I thought it was universally known that Shimano make the best (and sometime ugliest) crankset.

The rotor decals and sometimes oval chainring is evenly matched with the dura ace crankset in terms of ugliness

The spreadsheet I made after the "Fairwheels #4 crank test" has DA @ 746g / av deflection @ 0.217 and the Rotor @ 724g / 0.243.

On a stiffness to weight ratio the DA(9th) is higher than the Rotor(11th). But then Sram Red(7th) is higher still.

But then that is all with the now old stuff. I just wish they'd have made the DA 9000 stuff a little prettier : (

However, Dura Ace 7900 is claimed 636g and Dura Ace 7800 (in the test) is claimed 740g which, given there will be a difference between claimed and measured (even Shimano has a set of Italian scales!) I stand by my claim of the same weight. I also would guess that the new Dura Ace would be even stiffer still ..

I have found a solution to that issue.

Rotors = marmite

they seem to work well with Futurisic style frames(molded)
