Ah, you can only see one third of the bike. Mr Crash will be pleased that his rules are being observed.

I wonder what legal restrictions you'd be under trying to ride on on British roads? No Front Brake, no lights on most, reg plate?, Helmet? tax disc, insurance....
-
• #7259
It'd most likely be illegal, just like mini-motos/pitbikes. Itd prob be legal to pedal it on the road just not use the engine.

Although, electric bikes are ok arent they? They are probably illegal too actually just no copper knows the law well enough.

@smallfurry... dem tings be ugly!

There was a British builder called Speedwell too. They made Ti frames in 'olden days' lovely stuff.
A lot of the early Ti frames flex like jelly especially the CP (commercially pure) grade as opposed to the 3/2 Ti alloy
Multi Grooves is right. I rode a Speedwell (briefly) in the early 70s. Very light, but very, very, bendy.

I think they are legal because they fall under the same legislation as wheel chairs or invalid carriages or something.
-

Im pretty sure iv seen invalid carriages on the road with number plates though. Its probably something to do with power output or max speed or something.
Trouble with those wee engines is that they will attract a lot of attention unlike electric motors. -

Aesthetically the bike as a whole is really nicely done but the odd 'playschool' font isn't particularly pleasing.

That is the beauty of NJS framebuilders' logos - all western aesthetic design sense goes out the window. I love it!

A photo page for Sick Wheels in SFlook nice but I automatically thought it was an aftermarket sturmey archer.

Deep rims = Anti Porn in this case.
-
• #7272
deep silver/polished rims always look nice on classic lugged frame thought, it's the coloured version (go on Tynan) that tend not to look right.
