it would appear that both derailleur cables come out under the tape and then through the stem cap

the rear brake cable...not so sure

Rear brake is standard through the frame run, doesn't matter a damn which way the mech wiring runs.....

The cabling on the up to date picture, at the handlbar/stem junction looks weird/less neat than it did before - is it to do with the electric control unit thingy?

He might have put the trim control box in the top of the steerer?
