And also has anyone any first hand experience of that happening?
My previous bike had only a few Mm more clearance than the one pictured and I never had any issues, neither have a lot of people that run bikes on the street with angles that tight.
Starting to wonder if its an old wifes tale...

it happened to Fruit on here. Had fag paper clearance with the downtube, hit a bump, wheel touches, he goes over the bars and the frame gets bent.
