Repost from only a posts above in this page...

    Dumbass

I see it now. I have to make a conscious decision to see your posts as they're rarely worth seeing.

    Egocentric dumbass.
Must be sad beeing like you.

    Happy beeing

    Ha! Are toby and theSadR
    a) sleeping together or
    b)12 years old?

  • Fucking beautiful, but if I took delivery of it I'd have to re-do the end bartape. Maybe stick with the rainbow theme but a single width strip. [/bartape OCD]

  • Feather?

  • Indeed. I am very much liking some of his most recent stuff. Like this stainless frame he's just finished - the seat binder bolt screws into solid plugs brazed in the end of the seat stays (with a hole drilled and tapped) so you don't see the bolt from one side.

  • Enigma restores a Condor

  • ^^ Too pretty!! I think I just near soiled myself.

  • Lovely bike but I've never seen the point of the rear wheel, even when Tomac used to ride one in the early nineties with drop handlebars... doing downhill!

    Lovely deep rumbly noise though..

  • I can't get enough of that FatChance, makes me wanna build back up my hardtail.

From my experience they were more comfortable. They seemed to have more give and dampen out some of the vibration. They also made a killer noise off road!

    Until you strip the thread.
Don't like the blunt ends of the seat stay caps, but the radius in the cable guide is very nice.

  • ^ the plugged & tapped stay is all stainless so it should be pretty safe. And I'd hope the owner has enough sense to use anti-seize and a torque wrench...

  • Until you strip the thread.

is that going to happen any time soon though? I'd think that if you're going custom you're going to install the seatpost exactly where you know it should be and leave it there until you grow taller or shrink.

Seatpost bolt has to be the least touched bolt on any bike I have, and my Rourke has a similar design..

Or change your crank length, or saddle, or pedals, or shoes...

It's not really how often you tighten it, it's over-tightening it once that'll strip it. Grease + torque wrench = worth it. You shouldn't need much torque anyway, unless the frame/binder lug is a bit vague/shoddy.
