Very, very nice. Although it would bug me that the black rims would wear off.
The next move is to get the frame spaced to 130mm and put a proper road wheelset on and run it SS.. And thanks..

Does 953 mean reynolds 953 in this case? Doesent the tubes look abit thin for stainless?
I like the paint!

What does this even mean? 953 is as stiff as 531 and twice as strong. Any tube which works in 531 will work at least as well in 953. We somehow survived with 1" top tubes and 1⅛" down tubes in 753 too, with walls as thin as any 953 tube.

953 is a steel that is mainly produced to reduce weight and as such is even lighter in large diameter tubes. Ive had 3 frames in 953 and they seemed to have larger dia tubes than this one. But perhaps there is smaller dia tubes available in 953 aswell. I dont know Reynolds specs that well so i asked..
Looks wise i prefer smaller diameter tubes so its all good. Im just wondering if theres a significant weight savings on the smaller dia tubes over say 853.

The small diameter (i.e. old school size) are 0.3mm~0.35mm wall in 953 and 0.4mm~0.6mm wall in 853, so quite a big weight saving with a corresponding reduction in frame stiffness.

Wish i could make useful conclusions from that chart but atleast i get the idea :)
Thanks!

The chainstays look quite skinny compared to the heavily ovalized ones that are normally used these days (e.g. as the 631/725 ones usually are). I think that's making it look a bit more old-school.

the trackends (hi miro_o) look nice. same as in genesis', which i liked.
steel leader had nicer trackends though. -

On the Donhou? They're the Paul ones I think.
-
• #69063
haha how much are they?
they are literally the same as in genesis 2009 -
• #69064
Not that cheap. Having just googled them I think they are the Paul ones, but quite heavily worked, with a fair bit of metal taken away. Could be custom though, or something else.

• #69065
They're not Paul.

shit shame really, such a nice frame. i'd be glad to learn it is my hometown made.
the stickers spoil it a bit though -
• #69070
I like the stickers. I believe Chainbreaker did it justice as well.
