I thought so, I just felt like a dig.
Large seat stays in general look shite. -
• #67253
I thought that was odd.
| guess the stays are 'aero' and thin when viewed from either the front or back. I think it could look pretty good in the flesh/metal.

Valdemiro also showed me fat stays but i spent some time searching for slimmer ones.

I don't get the point of this. Could you not even think of something that wasn't mind numbingly dead to post to get yourself out the nursery. So often I see posts that just say "Nice frame", with no context. Admittedly this instance isn't that bad, but it still gets on my tits.

perfect example what is so boring with modern components. Would look a lot better with silver rims. Black rims should be carbon.

That 3t stem on the nago can >>>>
Negattio speaks truth. Modern groupos are lame, especially on classic frames. That frame deserves better.

I like it ;D

That frames deserves to be ridden and enjoyed. The best way to do that is with a modern groupset.
-
• #67266
I dont dislike modern groupsets on old frames. I dislike the fact that besides thomson and richey pro there isnt modern silver components. For example, how to get modern aero track wheels with low spoke count in silver? Only wheelset I've seen was gipiemme tonta pro and those are kind of rubbish. I'd like to have silver ellipses.

• #67267
I really like the build but again I can't help but feel the overall look is being spoiled by the braking surfaces. CD finish or all black rims would have been better imo.

It can't be done because nobody would even try to make the rim shapes you need for truly aero wheels in metal, because they would be worse in every measure than carbon ones. If you want "aero" wheels, you could build silver 24h H+Son Formation Face onto your choice of silver small flange hubs (Phil, Novatec, Royce etc.) with silver CX-Rays and they would probably test faster than Ellipses.

Gold Somec on the previous page - why on earth do people put dirt cheap and fairly nasty conti Giro or Vittoria Rally tubs on very nice bikes??

as it was my bike: i bought the wheels with the already glued tubs, rode it at the vdrome and planned to change them after some miles. sale came earlier, so i sold it with the cheap but sufficient tubes

Hasn't it been posted before Eingang?
Is still a truly stunning bike though, beautiful.
If it has been previously posted, I don't remember those wheels, cause they are on another level of awesome, must be stiff as a very very stiff thing indeed.
Bladed spokes (CX-ray?) wired and soldered = Very happy AngelD!
You are a bastard for having such incredible bikes all the time Eingang (its the jealousy talking!), but it is good to hear you at least ride them a bit, unlike some people who lock them away in a dark room somewhere where no one else can enjoy them! ;)
And to be fair, I don't think I've seen a single bike of yours I haven't liked, so fair do's mate.
My bad i meant to type Seatstays
