why would you build such a clean frame and then fuck up the drop outs like this.
-
• #67053
That looks beautiful!! Bike porn at its best.
-
• #67054
I think it needs wishbone seat stays.

• #67055
I think it needs me

• #67056
I think it needs twin 4 spokes and a skid whipping...

You mean the track ends?
Nothing fucked up dude. There's a bit of plastic fitted, to prevent the frame to go untrue (when moved or stored). -

that giant is lush, but a weenie build with a 220g saddle? Needs
-
• #67061
There aren't really any weenie parts on it, but I won't disagree with a carbon saddle.

Shiny!

those look frames are quite light and that's about it really. Not especially well made and lots of cranks hit the stays as they aren't well profiled.
looks like something from halfords.

Needs
Have you actually weighed a Flite Evo? They are not that light at 150g+, only about 20g less than the padded Flite TT. Depending on year of manufacture, the standard Flite on that Giant could be <200g anyway. And as has been pointed out, it's not obviously a ww build
-
• #67068
I stripped a flite and it weighs about the same as a piece of paper.
-
• #67069
yep, same.

^ Sorry, it's almost nice; but no.
a) it's a gate
b) saddle angle
c) paintjob is trying too hard, headbadge is yukBmxed - Flite ruins that Giant. Flite's are so ugly..

I fail to see the weenie build in that Giant. Looks like its built for stiffness and speed to me.
Flites are comfy.
-
• #67072
I don't mind the size (I ride similar). Saddle angle and headtube I agree with - but I don't mind the paint scheme.

Yeah not weenie, as below advanced. (Same as mine)

Flites are a total design classic, don't see what's ugly about them. Classic concord profile, really comfy, lightweight.
Most winningest saddle? - The Flite 1990, forerunner of todays ultra-lightweight saddles, weighed less than 200g. It won more victories than any other Selle Italia saddle with no fewer than 24 majors (T de F, Giro and Vuelta) and over 950 prestigious international races. It was the first saddle made with titanium rails and co-moulding technology that incorporated vibration dampening elastomers. Selle Italia Saddle - Flite 1990 Saddle Use Road/Off road Rails: Titanium W 139 x L 275 Weight: 200g
This doesn't include scores of x-country wins...

very nice, but what's going on with the headset?
Looks awesome, but would clearance between seat tube and tire not cause problems?
