  • I've ridden this frame*

    • well not actually Cancellara's but a Domane 6, with odd-but-amazing isolated seat tube. /csb.
  • geekhouse is chunks.

  • And if neither of those things matters, why don't riders run deep rims all the time

Stability in windy conditions is the main reason not to use them

Riders will want shallow rims in the climbs because they make lighter, quicker accelerating wheels, good for attacking and keeping on an attacker's wheel.

This effect is deliberately blown out of all proportion by manufacturers of light, but not aero, wheels. You need to be going quite slowly for the 300g weight difference between Lightweights aand Zipp 404s to overcome the drag problem of the lighter wheel, and Lightweights are actually pretty aero for light wheels, some other weight weenie wheels are truly appalling when ridden outside a vacuum.

    1. Is every bike ridden on the Pro Tour at or very nearly at 6.8kg?

Not many are over 7.5kg outside of the Spring Classics. That not everybody meticulously pares every bike down to 6801g indicates just how irrelevant weight-weenieism is to actual racing.

  • From classifieds...

Not perfect but has a place here imo.

    Both ace.

  • You could at least translate it :)

  • What do you want me to translate? :)

The only possibly Portuguese word in that description.

I think it says "gentleman's round". Maybe it's a team replica and that's a description of the MAMIL that rides it.

I wouldn't turn it down but def not p0rn with that seat tube and the shouty decals.

  • I think it says "gentleman's round". Maybe it's a team replica and that's a description of the MAMIL that rides it.

It's George Hincapie's bike for his 17th and final Tour de France, "gentleman's round" is like "testimonial match"

  • I thought it was a really thoughtful bike, and a nice thing for BMC to have done.

  • ^^explains the Lucky Seventeen on the seattube and Big George on the tt

  • Oop. Good job he's not on here. Still looks like beer wee.

  • haterz>>>>>>>
