Because they are heavy, slow and horrible to ride?
Seriously though they may just be for training. They're not race wheels. Ditto the pedals.
-
• #64378
thats my point. and they're clinchers too.
-
• #64379
I don't think he uses them as trainingwheels.

They've been picked for their look, and they do look good.
Two rims weigh over 1.5kg and dubious hubs? No thanks.

^^ Those Gipiemme aren't that expensive too. I don't quite get it, why put 220 euro wheels on an 800 euro's frame. Could've bought something better, although 220 is expensive in my eyes. But compared to 800 euro's it isn't..
These are just temporary and will be changed as soon as my wallet allows it...
the bike is used mainly on public roads so i preffer using clinchers over tubulairs incase i get a flat on a long ride, its more handy. -

Why bother? It'd be easier to actually do it (at least for me), than faff around with potatoes!

• #64393

If you care to lend me a crank arm, I've only got two and they're in use!

Even easier on square taper.
-
• #64396
i guess after all, it sure is easier to do it in photoshop

I can't use photoshop... :(
Whereas I'm a electrician by trade and have done bits of mechanics, building, renovation, carpentry, fabrication, kitchen fitting, decorating... no, I think thats about it.
Trust me, custom door handles are not the hardest thing I've done. -
• #64398

that Pelizzoli frame...
One day (if I have £2k spare), I'm going to build the shit out of one of his frames
