^If it was mine I'd consider destickering those pretty loud rims if possible, although that could be a dumb idea.
Mighty fine steed otherwise -

I've seen a few cranks that have square ends like this at the pedal ends. Why? Surely the pointy corners represent superfluous material?

Yup needs all black tape, hoods etc. The cables should be either pink or black, either would work.
Pink cables and Cinelli Zebra tape would do it for me!

The surface finish on those campag cranks is doing my head in. It doesn't look like any of the pictures of unidirectional carbon i can find on google, more like the kind of multi-crystalline effect you get with galvanising, as if they've moved on from fibres to sheets built up from 2d flakes of carbon.
But what exactly are the flakes? I don't think they can be graphene as nobody's worked out how to make that much of it yet? Are the flakes formed from parallel fibres, so the material is a bit like carbon chipboard? Or is it just some cosmetic effect that doesn't tell us anything about the underlying material?
No, it's from a Cervelo product shot reduced to 2 colours
