  • must be a repost.

    mavic or7!!!

  • Thanking you, road.cc.

  • and the seatpost binder bolt is already scuffed...

  • I think the seatpost arrangement is worse than the stem.

    How so?

  • Re: spacers, I am told they didn't have the exact measurements to hand when they were building the bike in LMNH, so erred on the side of caution. Understandably...

  • Other puke colours are available but this looks really nice.

  • Errm... no thanks.

  • How so?

Obviously aesthetics are subjective, but it looks outdated and ugly to me.
I thought it would have been more aero to be integrated and nicer looking like the Felt TK1 or even Planet X track.

the parts only landed in the country wed night, and were driven all over the country to the builders.

As mantioned, all the bikes were built without the rideres dimensions so have had the steerers left long.

Bikes are now with the riders and should be getting dialled in accordingly

    That looks terrible.

  • :D

  • i sure prefer it like this

  • It is a fucking show stealer, absolutely amazing! Any ideas why all the rodies had the same maroonish headset/bb?

  • They're all Rapha team bikes.

  • sorry (Rapha people) but i had to change it a little bit.
I didn't like all those spacers... i just had to remove them... now it's my dream bike :D

  • No-one likes the spacers Noca. They're not even pink...

@barneybear, it's a Rapha project called the Continental. Rapha's signature colour is pink. Ergo, pink Chris King goodies all over 'em.

  • The Rourke is mad hot.

  • I much prefer this Rourke, loving the wraparound seatstays

Chainset looks less out of place imo

  • The wraparound stays are their trademark, innit. I also liked that 953 Rourke, one of the most 'modern'-looking steel frames I've seen. Looks mean.

  • I see, that also explains why they have Rapha neatly written on them all, another mystery to me, I really should've gone, I'm angry now

  • Before now the only Rourkes I'd seen were custom track bikes which were welded up like every other frame. Nothing outstanding but nice frames regardless of fancy bits like that.

I'm pretty pissed that I didn't manage to go. Was all meant to be a step of my framebuilding knowledge learning curve. I'll just have to pay some of them a visit sometime instead.

  • Chainset looks less out of place imo

I don't know what SRAM were thinking with that chainring, but it might go nicely with some Pro wheels

  • They've been doing a 953 road bike since 953 came out, pretty much. That one is a step up in terms of paint / colour co-ordination though.

  • This is stunning, strange paint job though
