How did a 1960s saddle end up on a 1970s bike? Well, it will come as a surprise to 12 year olds like you, but in the olden days we used to keep things which still had a useful life, and re-use them over a period of years.

If it isn't pretty close to the ideal functional solution (and it certainly isn't), it falls at the first hurdle by my definition of bike porn.
