The mechanism's don't really mix all that well with mud and grit. Brake levers and shifters also tend to get pretty bashed up in crashes.

These look pretty interesting but at the projected price I'm not sure they'll be all that competitive with either ergo levers/STI levers (shifting convenience) or bar end shifters (reliability).

Never used bar end shifters (never ridden cyclo-x). I remember XT thumbshifters being a dream though, no bloody plastic indicator things to break, easy to use when its cold, indexing / non indexing, strong, etc..... Great design!

the moots is lovely, but the gold annodize looks like a poor man's attempt at Shimano Yumeya stylings.

Rear straddle block is going to hit the cable stop, if not now then when the pads wear a bit.

I think I need a CX bike, however my bank balance says otherwise. The Moots isn't helping.... amazing.

Ergo positioning isn't so nice either, too low on the bend :/ Except for this and the stem/spacer thing it's a very classy looking bike indeed.

Just feel that a sloping top tube would have looked better than the stem/spacer combo.
