yep, just a silly gimmick. Forget I even tried to explain it. Your response is not unlike the response I originally got nearly 25 years ago from the folks at one of our national laboratories when I asked for help with empirical data in calculating drag and speed and what not or what happened when the first wings appeared on race cars.
I have no intention of turning over numbers or technique to you. You seem to already have the answers, but like most in the computer age seem to think you have a right to my intellectual property.
Incidentially, "Drillium" is when a component is drilled for weight reduction, not for "aerodynamic" purposes.
Have a great weekend and spend some of your money at your local wind tunnel.

DaveAnd what are you doing with your great idea? What have the major producers of TT bikes said about it when you discussed it with them, presumably they are ignorant too and have just put it down as a silly gimmick?
They seem open to many things looking at bike development over the years... -

What have I won and how do I collect it?
I was interested in how the idea was pursued and seemed to be a good place to ask as that is where the discussion is. But agree, on with more pictures now.

Its a garish POS.
I think people are confusing Collosi with Pezzoli, the former is always vulgar.

Any mods fancy splitting off our discussion of metallic snake oil into a separate thread. Even the original photo didn't deserve to be in this thread.

does tester have any other pass-times?

doing? Nothing.. wheels don't have true spokes any more, clothing is slipperier, positioning of rider is better, UCI requires expensive scrutinizing, there's no money to be made as all I've done was already public domain info (chokes, venturis, Gas laws, laminar vs turbulent, rider psychology, surface textures,etc.,etc.
Look, there are only a few riders capable of record level performance and from a commercial standpoint it would only be geewizz factors in it for the big manufacturers.
Until the UCI relents on drag reducing specific design the best for our lot is to line the inside surfaces of your forks and rear triangle with paint brush bristles to break up the rotating air on the wheels..or perhaps fenders with side skirts..I see a new category for anti-porn coming ;~) -

Pretty colours, and probably very nice but in the wrong thread.
This is for Bike Porn and not our own bikes.
