i still think steel is the best material, rigid, resistant over time, reliable.
The trouble with you 'steel is real' nutters is that you are quite prepared to overlook basic facts when extolling the virtues of your chosen material. I think that, on sober reflection, what you probably meant is:
Steel remains a good option for bicycle frame construction as long as you prioritise customisation and long fatigue life over stiffness, light weight and low cost.

I agree apart from it is not particularly rigid, not resistant (it rusts!) so therefore not reliable.
That Milani is in Columbus XCR stainless, so it should resist corrosion quite well. It's also >£5000 with Athena, ffs!
News flash: You can get a 7kg carbon race bike with a first tier groupset for £3500

What, a PX carbon bike? Yes, very dull, just gets on with being a bike without straining to gain the approval of some self-appointed guardians of bicycle aesthetics.

Unable to rep mdcc_tester sufficiently here.

Just finished this build at the shop. I don't understand why get in to all this carbon nonsense when you can get a good, strong ridable steel road bike that weighs bang on 7.5 kgs
That noise you hear is Dammit ripping out the plumbing to his new bath and replacing it with the tubes from his Cannondale
