  • I have slight to massive overlap on bikes fixed and geared and it's a non issue.

In that case the less clearance the better!

  • if you're talking about toe overlap you're a slow pussy street rider

  • if you're talking about toe overlap you're a slow pussy street rider

commuter, who you know, occasionally has to slow down/turn in order to preserve life...

  • In that case 3 of the 4 bikes I own are 'wrong'.

    :(

  • commuter, who you know, occasionally has to slow down/turn in order to preserve life...

Is life worth preserving if it is a life with big clearances?

    #yes

  • Is clearance still clearance if you've filled it with massive tyres?

  • In that case 3 of the 4 bikes I own are 'wrong'.

    :(

why are they wrong again? o.0

I've just been informed that toe-overlap doesn't seem to be an issue, and there's definitely nothing wrong with small clearances, so what's up?

    :')

  • I have long legs and short arms. Which means I'm 5'11 and ride a 54. Even with fairly average sized feet i get toe overlap on...

    90s steel track frame
    2006 steel track frame
2007 carbon road bike (though only with crud catchers fitted)
    2010 alu 29er

The point i'm ~~ labouring ~~ making is overlap is a fact of life for some of us (sob).

  • Constant downhill turned up to 11

  • Horrible photo. Looks like this.

Those bars are good though, even if the angle is controversial.

  • Those bars are good though

I'm sure he'll get a good all round view of them as he flies over them the first time he hits a bump.

  • Yup. I guess the frame/fork is designed for 20c tyres?

  • Needs matching bar grips, seat is in wrong position, what was the builder of this bike thinking

  • Yup. I guess the frame/fork is designed for 20c tyres?

The frame was designed for 700c wheels.

  • it has 700c's on it?

  • Could be. The angles look way too steep, and (possibly) a larger tyre on the rear.

  • Could be. The angles look way too steep, and (possibly) a larger tyre on the rear.

Angles are about 75° to 76°, BB drop is 60mm which is at the large end for a track bike. I suspect the fork is shorter than the frame was designed for, another 10mm on the axle to crown length would sort it right out. The tractor tyre on the back certainly isn't helping.

  • Mmmk... either:
    a) I'm too pissed
    b) That Concor is huge
    c) So are the Cinelli Pista bars/Stem
    d) That bike's tiny

  • But I raelly like it.

  • must be 650 front and rear,or maybe smaller the tubing looks huge

  • I thought of that, bu then I did drink a bit too much.... is it really?
