My bike! In Porn! I think I'm going to cry a little bit. Thanks Tenderloin.
Ever since I saw the start of this creation, I knew I'd love it. Is it you that has the hole in the wall workshop? I think it exudes class and quality in abundance, and if I could build frames, this would be a start point!
The salsa stem from up there ^ somewhere is dope, end of.

The wheels absolutely ruin that, they are disgusting.
Also, 99.999% sure its toasted tea.
*the more I look at, the more fucked off I get at how much of a rip off of a Hetchins it is.

Thanks for the Concorde plug. Needs matching bottle cages, Veloflex tanwalls and a damn good polish but it is supposed to be my winter bike after all.
Anatomic bars... fugly, but comfy, and at least they are roughly period.

I think it's described as a "Hetchins Tribute" and it is definitely a repost.

call that a knife?! this is a knife!
Wow, my bike in porn, and I nearly missed it!
I built the frame like that from scratch. Mainly because I've always like old frames with double top tubes, and beacuse large frames with standard size tubing can look a bit strangely stringy and empty with too big a ratio between hole in middle and stuff round the edge.
The main tubing is SL2009, so pretty light, and the extra on the back would be needed for the rack anyway. The whole thing weighs about 26lb, two of which is the saddle. Weight (to a point) wasn't really much of a consideration.
Also, I'm sure I read somewhere that a steel frame of 60cm or more flexes like a wet noodle, so I'm sure the extra strength is entirely necessary :).
The brake levers are Shimano 600 Arabesque, as is all the groupset except the calipers (new shimano 650, for stopping). levers were NOS, and the hoods are amazingly pristine.
I'm still getting the ride right, bars have come down a bit, and are going to come down some more.
